Real Estate and Modern-Age Technology

 Introduction

Unarguably, technology is a stable staple in the world of today. The effect of modern-age technology in every part of our lives cannot be overemphasized. This ranges from health, finance, education, relationship, investment, etc. Technology, especially in this age, has opened new doors of opportunities and means of communication that have improved our productivity and made our lives better. Notably, its effects on real estate are obvious, and in this article, I shall be highlighting some ways in which modern-day technology has affected real estate and realtors.

Home search

It’s the internet age and many mouth-watering discoveries and digital inventions are getting rolled out daily on the internet space. The internet serves as a search tool for generations of home buyers. 97% of all home buyers use the internet in their home search. Various useful information concerning real estate can be found on the internet. Valuable features such as property listings, agent/staff profiles, customer reviews, and more can be assessed on the internet.

Communication

Technology is not complete without social media, and social media is evolving daily. According to research, when communicating with clients, realtors most often prefer text messaging, telephone, or email. This results in quick communication, and as a result, business transactions are completed in no time. Technology has indeed improved communication between realtors and clients in today’s real estate business, which is highly essential for the growth of the industry. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn are top avenues of swift communication between realtors and clients.

Artificial Intelligence

You might be surprised that I’m bringing AI into an article about real estate. But it’s true. Without any speck of doubt, Artificial intelligence (AI), Virtual reality (VR), and analytics are revolutionizing the business that was only about buying and selling properties a few years ago. In fact, in this unique dispensation, there are a whole lot of smart devices and sensors that help the process of marketing and investment. Today, with the aid of AI, owners, buyers, and investors in real estate can buy, sell, rent, and manage properties.

Finally, this digital age has witnessed highly intelligent Virtual reality and inspection drones which make it pretty easy to do business in the real estate industry. Today, property owners, buyers, and investors can inspect a property without stepping into such property. In this stupendously digital and highly technological age, remote transactions and digital contracting are on the rise. This is getting interesting and very good for the industry and we expect more to come.
