OOU Notice to All 2016 Batch ‘B’ Prospective Corpers The Directorate of Students Affairs of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, wishes to inform all graduates/prospective corps members (PCM), whose results were approved by Senate and who filled the OOU Premoblization form online, that online registration of prospective corp members on the NYSC website holds between OCTOBER 17 and NOVEMBER 12, 2016. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NYSC WEBSITE IS www.nysc.gov.ng. Mobilization of prospective corpers is STRICTLY AN ONLINE AFFAIR. They should therefore visit any cybercafé of their choice to do this. In addition, prospective corpers should strictly follow all instruction concerning the online registration on the NSYC website. NO MOBILIZATION WOULD BE DONE IN THE DIRECTORATE OF STUDENTS AFFAIRS. OAU ENGLISH STUDENTS LAMENT OVER RESULT

According to oaupeeps, It was toward the eventide of the 16th September - Thursday that one of the core courses at the department of English Language at the Faculty of Arts, EGL 204 result was released for her students to check. The result was overly poor for almost all of them. A correspondent of OAU Peeps News Agency was able to gather from a Student (whose name would not be disclosed) that the results were quite inconsistent. According to Dupe(not real name), at first, she checked and saw that she was 'given' 24 in total, over 100 marks. Another affected student lamented, "how can I score below 20 over all!" And Tolu (not real name) explained that he believed he merited and expected much than what was given him. Our correspondent also learnt that after the first upload, few left for the department to lodge complaints, they were made to understand it was due to some terrible error which would be rectified in no time. KWASU Supplementary Admission Screening Exercise 2016/2017 Announced

This is to invite all UTME/DE candidates in the underlisted categories to apply for the supplementary Post-UTME Screening/Test for 2016/2017 admission exercise: a. Those interested in admission into KWASU but did not take part in the first screening exercise; and b. Those who took part in the first screening exercise but scored below 40%. All candidates must have five (5) O’ Level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. Candidates awaiting O’Level results can also apply for the Post-UTME Screening Test but will not be considered for admission until their results are available. The screening/test is scheduled to hold as follows: Date: Monday 26th September – Thursday 30th September, 2016. Venue: KWASU Sango Office, Ilorin Time: 9.00am – 4.00pm daily. The United States has identified dialogue and practical efforts in the development of the Niger Delta, as veritable means to resolve the security and other related challenges of the region. The Deputy Head of Mission of the United States Embassy in Nigeria, Ambassador David Young, stated this during a courtesy call on Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson in Government House, Yenagoa on Wednesday. The Envoy, who is visiting Bayelsa for the first time, implored the Federal Government to put in place measures that would improve the living conditions of the Niger Delta people. While calling on all stakeholders to embrace dialogue, as part of the process of resolving the crisis in the region, Young observed that successive governments in the country have been making efforts to achieve the best possible means to deploy the wealth generated from the Niger Delta to impact on the lives of the people.
